COMMUNITY OUTREACH - FOOD FOR THOSE IN NEED

BRACED shows up for Binghampton every week, turning Broad Avenue into a place of relief and dignity with our Monday food giveaways that consistently serve hundreds of families, and each Thanksgiving we expand that commitment to provide a generous holiday food kit to 500 households so neighbors can celebrate without worry; these programs are fueled by volunteers, local partners, and the belief that access to nutritious food is a foundation for health, stability, and community pride

BROAD MINDS ACADEMY

An education at Broad Minds Academy empowers students to define success on their own terms by igniting a lifelong love of learning that fosters curiosity and resilience, expanding their sense of responsibility so they take ownership of their growth and contribute meaningfully to teams, sharpening critical thinking skills that enable clear analysis and evidence‑based problem solving, and inspiring active engagement with the global community so learners apply their knowledge with empathy and purpose.

BROAD AVENUE
SPORTS COMPLEX

The 2.6-acre space is geared towards children, families and seniors in the Binghampton community and overall Shelby County. The space includes a 500-plus-person occupancy multi-purpose athletic field for sports, a walking/running track and pavilions for programming targeting health and wellness.
The athletic field is  named after Memphian, Lester School alumnus and Pro-Football Hall of Famer, Claude Humphrey.

SUMMER CAMP

First Baptist Broad’s summer camp, proudly sponsored by BRACED, provides affordable, caring summer care for local children with engaging programs that blend faith‑based values, creative play, academic enrichment, and outdoor activity—giving families peace of mind and kids a safe, joyful place to learn, grow, and build friendships right in the heart of the Broad Avenue community.

BRACED EVENT CENTER

The BRACED Event Center stands as a compassionate anchor on Broad Avenue, serving as a welcoming hub where neighbors gather for connection and care; each week the center distributes healthy, dignified groceries to more than 400 families from Binghampton and greater Memphis, strengthening food security, preserving dignity, and fostering lasting community bonds through volunteer service, local partnerships, and dependable presence.
